Taxonomic Comments
This record represents the broad concept of Carex debilis following Kartesz (1994). Kartesz (1994) recognizes six distinct varieties: debilis, intercursa, rudgei, interjecta, pubera, and strictior. In contrast, FNA (vol. 23, 2002) recognizes only two broader varieties (debilis and rudgei); including Carex debilis var. intercursa in C. debilis var. debilis and broadening C. debilis var. rudgei to include varieties interjecta, pubera, and strictior.
