This record is for the broad treatment of Viola sagittata that includes V. emarginata, as recognized by Little and McKinney in FNA (2015, vol. 6). Weakley et al. (2025) and Ballard et al. (2023) recognize a more narrow treatment, excluding V. emarginata.
